When she was just 14 years old, Olive Oatman’s parents were killed in 1859. She was then kidnapped by Indians and sold into slavery of the Mohave. At her return to the American society after five years, it was observed that Olive was not treated as a slave but as an equal, as the tattoos made on her were the same ones the Indians themselves wore.

Till date, Robert Pershing Wadlow nicknamed “Alton Giant” remains the tallest person in the history of the world measuring 272 cm (8′ 11”) tall and weighed 199 kg (439 lb). He, unfortunately, died at the age of 22 in 1940.
