The common term for an infection is an abscessed tooth, which is a dental infection at the root of the tooth, where the gum line meets the tooth.
It leads to decay and is caused by bacteria seeping into a crack, chip, dental cavity, and works its way down to the root. If its left untreated, it will cause severe inflammation and pain of the tooth and gum.
The infected tooth ends up losing its ability to fight off infection, which allows the bacteria to infect the tooth chamber. When the pulp in the root dies, pain calms down a little. It doesn’t essentially mean the infection went away; it will still continue on spreading into the tissue around the tooth.
When avoiding treatment for an abscessed tooth, it can infect the bone that keeps the tooth supported and causes life-threatening problems. A diet high in sugar, poor dental hygiene, gingivitis, severe tooth decay and sticky food can cause an abscessed tooth. Symptoms of an abscessed tooth are: pain when chewing food, bad breath, sharp and throbbing toothaches, sore and red gums, cheek swelling, difficulty swallowing food, fever, swollen lymph nodes and discomfort in the pained area.
You should visit your dentist immediately to receive medical help, but if you want an all natural route, you can use these effective natural remedies.
