Cafe Owner Hires Homeless Man - 2 Weeks Later, She Finds This In The Kitchen

Sometimes an opportunity proves to be a much more generous gift than cash in hand.

The Homeless Man

In March 2016, a homeless man named Marcus walked into a Cafe in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The man looked right into the eye of the 25-year-old cafe owner, Cesia Abigail, and asked for money.

Though the lady felt an instant connection with the man who lived on the streets, she could not offer any money to Marcus.

Man Could Not Get Any Job

After the homeless man asked her for financial assistance, Abigail responded, “Why don’t you have a job, you know nothing is given to me for free right?”

Understanding what she was getting at, Marcus tried explaining his situation to Cesia that he wanted to get a job but due to his criminal past, getting hired had proved impossible for him and he had been forced to retreat to a life in the streets.

Cesia – The Owner

Cesia is the owner of Abi’s Cafe in Minneapolis, Minnesota and had long fought to keep her cafe running which has not always been easy to manage.

When Marcus approached her cafe that day, his story had a great impact on her. Instead of turning Marcus away, Cesia did something so incredible that her story went massively viral.

The Man Got a Job

Below is an extract from Cesia’s Facebook account

“I was short of staff that day, so I asked him, “You want to work? I have a job for you! His eyes opened wide and his smile made my day!!!! He said, ‘I’ll do anything for some food.’ So now for almost two weeks, he’s been on time for his two-hour shift… helping take out the trash, washing dishes etc. Once I pay him, guess what he does? He buys food from my restaurant — HE DECIDES TO PAY — because it makes him feel good!”

“With his new job, Marcus has found new confidence in himself and he’s a changed man.

Do something nice for someone today and don’t judge them just because they’re out there asking for money for we don’t know their situation… some deserve another shot. God gave me this blessing so why can’t I bless others?”
