Most of the everyday things that we use mostly without thinking have a decomposing time attached to them. Some take a little while others take close to millennium!
Just go through the list of several items that we all use daily and their approximate decomposing time:
A Paper Towel in about 3 weeks
A Banana Peel in about a month
A Paper Bag in a month as well
Newspaper takes about a couple of months
An Apple Core takes 2 months
A Cardboard takes 2 months too
A Cotton Glove would decompose in 3 months
An Orange peel in 6 months
A Plywood in about couple of years
A Wool Sock takes anywhere between 1 and 5 years
Milk Cartons take 5 years
A Cigarette Butt about a decade
Leather shoes would decompose in around 35 years

A Foamed Plastic Cup takes 50 years
A Plastic container and a Rubber-Boot Sole take between 50 and 80 years
An Aluminum Can in around 400 years
