For every action there is a reaction. With every negative force there is a positive one - this is how we achieve balance. For example: Every time Donald Trump says something negative on Twitter, JK Rowling is usually there to cheer us all up.

The past seven days have been stressful, upsetting and at times violent in the United States. Following a torch lit march through the University of Virginia’s grounds, members of the Unite the Right movement clashed violently with counter protestors and exasperated locals.

One woman, Heather Heyer, sadly lost her life, when a car drove into a group of protestors.

In times of crisis, a country naturally turns to its leader, and the United States waited on Donald Trump to condemn the neo-Nazis, racists and white supremacists.

Unfortunately for them, when he did comment on the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, Mr Trump ranted about blame being found on “all sides”, and deflected criticism that he took too long to condemn white neo-Nazis.

He did however, manage to keep it together long enough to find time to advertise a winery he no longer owns.

Trump said on Tuesday:

I will tell you something. I watched those very closely, much more closely than you people watched it.

And you had, you had a group on one side that was bad. And you had a group on the other side that was also very violent. And nobody wants to say that, but I’ll say it right now.

You had a group – you had a group on the other side that came charging in without a permit, and they were very, very violent.

Those people – all of those people, excuse me – I’ve condemned neo-Nazis. I’ve condemned many different groups, but not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me.

Not all of those people were white supremacists by any stretch.

His comments were criticised by prominent Republicans, Democrats, and world leaders (except Theresa May).

Enter JK Rowling, a digital thorn in the President’s paw for some time now. Usually when the going gets tough, she gets tweeting, and we have to say this one is great.

While watching coverage of the fallout following Mr Trump’s take on the violence in Virginia, the author noticed that the US President was receiving criticism from all across the world.

This included condemnation from Iran and Israel.

Tweeting that Donald Trump actually managed to “bring the Middle East together,” Rowling’s tweet quickly went viral, garnering over 130, 000 retweets.

It’s nice to see that Iran and Israel can find a common ground in their disappointment and frustration at the current President of the United States.

Truly, it’s a common ground for us all.
