LaVena Johnson was a soldier enlisted in the Army in 2003. LaVena was the first woman to die in Iraq from Missouri.

It’s shocking what happened to her, and you will find it hard to believe.

She was found within her tent with a gunshot to the head, a black eye, broken nose, acid burns on her genitals, loose teeth, and a trail of blood outside of her tent.

What is even more appalling is that our Department of Defense had deemed it a suicide.

The autopsy report along with the photographs prove her death wasn’t fit for a suicide case, and was more of a rape-murder. The U.S. Criminal Investigative Command for the Army is mainly concerned that the case is closed altogether.
