Model Reveals The Poses People Stand In To Make Their Bodies Look Perfect In Photos.

If you’re like most people, you take one look at someone’s fabulous Instagram account and immediately feel inadequate. Everyone has thin waists, tight abs and booties that defy gravity. Everyone’s faces are blemish-free, and the light hits them at just the right angle so they’re positively glowing.

I don’t know about you, but I’ll stick with memes instead of selfies, thank you very much.

According to Instagram sensation Iskra Lawrence, how you look in those Instagram selfies has less to do with how you look than how you pose. A model for 14 years, Lawrence makes a living off looking her best, so she knows what she’s talking about.

On her Instagram post, Lawrence says:

I wanted to get super real and show u how drastically and instantly ppl can change how they look simply by posing! Let alone good lighting, high quality cameras and photoshop! … I myself still pose and there’s nothing wrong with moving your body in ways you feel most comfortable or confident but let’s be honest and show the actual process.

Let alone good lighting, high quality cameras and photoshop! I’ve talked about this a lot in the past but in this video I show you 7 ways in which posing can dramatically change how we look. I’m super excited to share this with you, I myself still pose and there’s nothing wrong with moving your body in ways you feel most comfortable or confident but let’s be honest and show the actual process. I’ve been modelling 14years so I learnt some stuff I want to share with you all. Because life’s not perfect, social media lives aren’t Perfect and neither are us or our bodies. And that’s exactly how it’s meant to be! Because we are all imperfectly perfect and 100% unique. So s/o to all the real ones who keep it 💯 celebrate every single inch of pinkcandyfloss you and who you are! The model demonstrates a few cheats in the video:

When you see that perfect photo, what really goes on behind the scenes is good lighting, good angle, good posing – it can completely change what your body looks like.

Most important, Lawrence is an advocate for body positivity. Her message is intended to help people who might envy Instagram models feel a bit better about their own bodies, whether or not they choose to use her tricks to make their butts look perky and their rolls disappear.
Thanks for keeping it real, Iskra!
