You Should Read This Before Eating A Dominos Pizza Again

Dominos Pizza SHAMED! It doesnt matter if youre a pizza addict, carnivore, vegan or animal activist I am positive we ALL will agree that the behavior described below needs to be stopped!

Fact: Pigs are one of the smartest animals on Earth. They have been found to be highly social, intelligent, and curious, they engage in complex tasks, form cooperative social groups and feel pain, fear and stress. Studies have proven that they are more intelligent than dogs and even some primates, and scientists have demonstrated that pigs are capable of playing simple video games, learning from each other, and even learning names. So how is it that a majority of breeding pigs in the U.S. are confined in gestation crates for virtually their entire lives. For several years, theyre confined to crates that almost immobilize them, enduring a cycle of repeated impregnation. These individual cages are approximately 2 feet wide and are so small the animals are unable to turn around or take more than a step forward or backward. Because of the amount of time and the severity of their confinement, these pigs suffering is one the worst of all factory farmed animals. Companies such as Dominos should not allow this and consumers should not buy the product of such horrific suffering. Other fast food places have stopped the practice of using gestation crates for their pregnant pigs but Dominos continues. What is unbelievable is that this has been in practice for years and it is only now that some of the worlds largest food companies have announced that they will eliminate gestation crates from their supply chains. Companies such as McDonalds, Burger King, Campbell Soup, Carls Jr., Compass Group, Costco, Dennys, Jack in the Box, SUBWAY, Oscar Mayer, Kroger, Safeway, Hardees, Sodexo, Sysco, ARAMARK, Heinz, Baja Fresh, Wendys, Wienerschnitzel, and Harris Teeter.

Humane Society U.S. and other animal protection advocates have helped nine U.S. statesArizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Oregon, and Rhode Island to have laws passed to prohibit the use of gestation crates. Please help the fight to get rid of these gestation crates by signing the petition. Say NO to gestation crates.
