There was a severe sand storm in the Niger capital of Niamey, on Monday. Such storms are common in West African countries. During the storm a high sand wall was formed and the sky turned red which was quite scary. On social media, people have shared many such videos in which the sky of Niger is looking red.
Sand storms are common in Nimeya between January and April. People were in panic after seeing such a big storm and indifferent sky. The wall of sand was seen up to the sky during the storm. Many people on Twitter have also called it a sand tsunami.
